At the recent TWIM Stroke Development Clinic, presented by USMS Coach, Bill Brenner, TWIM planners received an incredible level of support from some of the top regional PNA Coaches!
TWIM would like to acknowledge and thank the following PNA On-Deck Coaches for their outstanding contributions, which were a critical element in the success of the event:
April Cheadle (Bainbridge Aquatic Masters); Wade Praeger (Lake Washington Masters); Amy Heape (Amy Heape’s Open Water Coaching); Wendy Neely (Blue Wave Aquatics); Tonya Heike (Snohomish Aquatic Masters); and Diana Hermanson and Serrell Collins (both from Bernardo’s All-Stars).
What does an On-Deck Coach do? They support the Clinic Presenter, by reinforcing his message to the swimmers. The ODCs listen to the Presenter’s instructions, then monitor a lane of swimmers, as those swimmers execute a skill or drill for 25 yards. When the swimmers finish, the ODCs are there to give immediate directed feedback to each swimmer in their lane.
Our On-Deck Coaches switched lanes periodically, so clinic swimmers had the advantage of individualized coaching from all of the available coaching talent!
Here is a gallery of our outstanding On-Deck Coaches in action!
On-Deck Coaches – A huge thank you from TWIM for volunteering your time and making TWIM’s Stroke Development Clinic such a success!
